Bleach Manga 332 – Fang And Sting

In Manga on November 2, 2008 at 8:12 pm

Another Bleach manga has been translated, and the fights continue.

Soi Fon is currently fighting a Fraccion and having some trouble, which is surprising, but just shows that fights are not all about ranking, but how the abilities and intelligence of opponents match up with each other. It was also humourous to see Soi Fon’s vice captain trying to save her. All in all, nice progression for the series.

John Legend – Evolver

In Music on November 2, 2008 at 3:33 am

The latest album for the Grammy-winning artist features Andre 3000, Brandy, Estelle, Buju Banton and Kanye West as guests.

“I think it’s hard to find a general theme [for the album]. It’s a lot of love and relationship songs, as people probably would expect from me. There’s not an overarching lyrical theme that goes throughout. It’s just a bunch of good songs, I think.”

Stanford Super Series: 20/20 For $20million

In Sports on November 2, 2008 at 3:19 am

Sir Allen Stanford’s Superstars became dollar millionaires shortly after eight o’clock on a balmy Caribbean evening, when they completed a rout of an England XI to take $1m a head, the richest prize ever offered for a team sport. For Stanford and his side, even for his concept of raising the profile of cricket in the region, it was an unalloyed triumph. For England cricket it was an unmitigated disaster. Bowled out inside the full 20 overs for just 99, they could only stand and watch, mouths agape, as the magnificent ball striking of the Superstars captain Chris Gayle and the diminutive keeper Andre Fletcher, Grenada’s answer to Brendon McCullum, slaughtered the bowling with an unbroken opening stand of 101. There were still seven overs and two balls in hand when Gayle blasted a low full toss from Andrew Flintoff over long on for his fifth sixth to end proceedings.

Beckham Joins AC Milan

In Sports on November 2, 2008 at 2:49 am

MILAN: David Beckham will join AC Milan in January on a three-month loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy to maintain his fitness and prolong his England career.

The former England captain’s brief Serie A career will begin Jan. 7, but he will rejoin his Galaxy teammates in March.

“He will have to go back to Galaxy by the time the MLS starts, and training before that,” Milan sporting director Umberto Gandini said Thursday. “David is committed to the LA Galaxy and the MLS.

Only David knows his future, but for sure he has a commitment to go back to the MLS and fulfill that.”

Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said an agreement was reached Thursday with Beckham’s lawyers, although a contract is still to be written.

The 33-year-old midfielder is eager to play in Europe during the MLS offseason to remain fit and available for selection for England, which plays an exhibition at Germany on Nov. 19.

Beckham is one appearance away from matching the record 108 for an outfield player – held by 1966 World Cup-winning captain Bobby Moore. Goalkeeper Peter Shilton holds the overall England record of 125.

“Milan has made a good acquisition,” said England manager Fabio Capello, who also coached Beckham at Real Madrid. “In Madrid, I dropped him from the team because he signed with Los Angeles. But he continued to come and train and I put him back on the team.”

Beckham will likely undergo medical tests Dec. 20 and be introduced a day later, when the club will unveil his jersey number. He is set to travel with Milan to Dubai for a midwinter training camp, which includes an exhibition.

Beckham’s first competitive game for Milan could come in the capital against AS Roma on Jan. 11.
